Get Ahead of the Game in 2016!

20150529_083647Yes, our 2015 season is slowly wrapping up, with only 4 more weeks of CSA deliveries and 5 more weeks of markets to look forward to.  Speaking of looking forward, we have put together our brochures for the 2016 season of our Weekly Veggie Box/CSA and Egg Share programs!  If you really want to get ahead of pack and secure a spot for 2016, links to the PDFs for your specific area are available to download below.

There are some big changes coming to the farm in 2016, including the purchase of a tractor and some new implements, including a plastic mulch layer and potato planter/hiller/digger.  We are hoping that with these tools we will be able to increase production of certain crops who have been succumbing to weed pressure, while refocusing labour toward other crops that need more attention and nurturing. We are very excited!

Markets 2015!

We decided last minute to start our 2015 market season this weekend, the long weekend, May 16, 2015!!  Originally we were going to hold off for another week, but the greens, spinach, radishes and seedlings grew so well in the hoop-house that we called up the market manager Alix and said, “We’d like to make our triumphant return this weekend!”

We have some really prime French Breakfast radishes, red radishes, washed and bagged spinach and washed and bagged spring mix available this Saturday, along with the following heirloom tomato seedlings!

We hope to see you there this weekend!
